Software development is a specialised field requiring individuals with a rare mixture of a very logical brain and creative flair. After graduating with an honours degree in mathematics Barry's first assignment was working for an American oil exploration company in the Middle East. He followed that with three years developing complex mathematical algorithms for a U.K. defence company, and nearly two years consulting to a major financial institution on systems design and development.

The last 18 years he has been applying his skills in the Australian and New Zealand market place. He has worked on a variety of projects in commercial, engineering and scientific areas, for large and small companies, as project manager, systems design authority and database architect. He enjoys the challenge the variety of roles have given him and solving problems both technical and managerial.
